I read in the newspaper that Maaportaal.ee has developed a map application designed to support forest owners, which includes exactly the kind of information I am interested in—data on PRIA agricultural parcels and large landowners. I registered as a user and was able to find out which major companies own land near my forest property. As I have been planning for some time to sell one of my forest plots, the map application allowed me to see which company I should approach first with an offer.

Last year, I was contacted almost daily by various “companies” wanting to buy my forest and farmland. The callers made price offers that differed many times over. After a few days of trying the Maaportaal.ee map application under the Gold Package trial, I realized that using the map is essential for our company. We own hundreds of properties across Estonia, and our goal is to further increase our land holdings. In addition, we can organize auctions ourselves at the base price free of charge whenever we plan to sell something. Another very good solution is that I can, if desired, add a map layer showing land owned by our company, which is not visible to other users.
